About My Test1 and Tutorial

About My Test1 and Tutorial
I wrote my CSC165 Term Test 1 last week, questions are not hard to solve. I thought I can get a good mark, but after our professor talked about the test in-class on Monday, I do not think that I did well on this Term Test. This is the reason why I am going to write about the Term Test, also I think after I rewrite and analyze this test again, I will pay more attention on my next test and try to get a good mark.
First, the test questions are similar to the past test, which professor posted on-line, but I think this test is kind of harder than the past test. In the second part of question one on this test, it asked people to write the output based on P1, P2, P3 and L1. This question should not be hard and get wrong, but I did. The output should be False or True, because P1, P2 and P3 are boolean. What I wrote in test is a list of numbers from L1. That mistake makes me loose all the marks of this question. Am I cannot understand this question? NO! I do understand, I know what is true and false. The reason that I lose mark is because I do not know I need to write " True or False". This question is based on Python program and professor posted information about Python List. That means I did not listen to class and did not pay attention on professor's  e-mail. But I feel so sad, I understood this question, it is not that I do not understand how to solve this question or cannot figure out the output; only because I thought that the output should be list instead of true or false. This questions makes me loose my most marks. I will remember this and pay more attention on the future. If I know the question, I must get those marks.
Second, I got confused about the first tutorial questions. In chapter three, we are learning proof. But the first question is not asking us to proof, it asked people to write " detailed proof structures", I do not understand what is this means. Is it the thing that professor wrote in class after the symbol # ? So I left blank for the front page and did those proofs. In tutorial, I learned that  " detailed proof structures" is the plan of how will I prove this statement. My English is still in processing, so those words problems are more important for me. Learning those in tutorial is really good for me.
In conclusion, I will remember the big mistake in test one, which pulls my marks down so much. And I will try to understand more words problems then do my tutorial problems better and better.

Review Questions and Get Ready for Test1

Review Questions and Get Ready for Test1
Time gone by, the first test of CSC165 is coming, excited for it. Honestly, this week I am really busy, because I have four tests during this week. My review for the CSC165 test is kind of late, but I still reviewed some points which helps me for to get ready for test 1.
First of all, I want to talk about some examples in the last few week's lecture. During the lecture time, I 'seems' understand all the examples. The reason of I use 'seems' is on class, I understand those examples and they are really make sense for me; but when I reread those notes today, I found there are some problems that I did not realize on the first time of study those materials. In other words, I found there are some misunderstanding for those in-class examples. For example, week two Monday's lecture note. In page 4, professor connected the employees question and the list of Python questions together, but I cannot remember how could those two related. The list question also shown in the past test, which professor posted on the course website. That means those examples are important, but I cannot remember anything about them. In addition, I found that with time gone by, some questions that I understand before make me confused. I thought that maybe I learned more then I improved my knowledge system, but with me thinking more, I am stuck. There is a great example, the Venn Diagram. On page 5 of the week two Monday's lecture note,  professor shows some Venn Diagram to verify and falsify statements. Before quiz one, I think those materials are easy, I know when need I put O, X or question mark. But when I reviewed today, I found there are lots of problems. For example, verify the universal claim. I do not understand that why the connected part of P and Q is occupied by a question mark. If there are some elements in P and there is nothing only belongs to P, then there must be something between P and Q. Question mark means there is something or it is empty. Is that means there is something? I asked myself, it does not make sense, if I assume there is nothing. I think I can assume there is nothing. Lately, I reread quiz and tutorial problems, then I realized that I do not need to think that much. If it shows there is something in the between, then well-done for this question. Thanks for I realized that tonight instead I lost in the test.
Second, for the test, I took a look at the past test, questions are not really hard and we are allowed to use 'cheat sheet', this is the first time for me to use 'cheat sheet' in a test.
All in all, Good luck for me.
